We sell a small number of pre-owned pieces at a time, chosen because they are worth owning rather than because they are available.
How we choose
Everything is bought in person or from clients we already know. We look at construction before we look at the label: how the corners wear, how the hardware sits, whether the piece has been repaired and how well. Pieces that do not meet the standard are turned away rather than listed with caveats.
Authentication
Each piece passes through two specialists independently. Hardware, stitching, date codes, linings and leather grain are compared against a physical reference archive we have built over time. Both specialists have to agree before anything is listed. If there is doubt, the piece does not go up.
Condition and photography
Condition is graded on a consistent scale and every mark is photographed. Images are shot in daylight against a neutral ground and are not retouched. What you see is the piece you receive.
Selling and consignment
We buy outright or take pieces on consignment. Either way you get a written offer with the reasoning behind it before anything is agreed.
